David Twicken´s Eight extraordinary Channels
David Twicken´s new book: Eight extraordinary Channels

A Handbook for Clinical Practice and Nei Dan Inner Meditation.

This book is about the Eight Extraordinary Channels (Psychic Channels). These channels are an important part of the Acupuncture channel system, as well as Qi Gong, Nei Dan Inner Meditation and Healing. The book has three parts.

1. The first part of the book presents theory and clinical applications of the Eight Extraordinary Channels. Emphasis is on the psycho-emotional aspects of these channels. It is a clear and practical presentation of these channels. Includes treatment strategies, needling methods and case studies. And detailed descriptions of the pathways and the acupuncture points. This information is of benefit to students and practitioners of Chinese medicine, healers and Qi practitioners of any style.

2. A Nei Dan Inner Meditation within the Eight Extraordinary Channels is presented. It is a detailed, guided meditation of the deep, profound channels that cultivate Jing and the constitution. This Inner Medicine includes the Microcosmic Orbit meditation. With consistent practice we can feel these channels and cultivate them and our life. This inner meditation supports any energy cultivation practice (Tai Chi Chuan, Qi Gong, Yoga, etc).

3. The ancient Nei Jing Tu (The Inner Landscape Map), on the front cover of the book, the the left, is a profound insight of the ancient Chinese spiritual practitioners. It is one of the most common presentations that represents the body’s natural processes. It also includes the alchemical processes of spiritual transformation and self-realization. I explain this cryptic inner map using taoist alchemical terms, traditional Chinese medical and Qi Gong terms and everyday language.

This book begins the process of integrating the three treasures: the physical, emotional/psychological and spiritual aspects of our life. I believe the book is of benefit to practitioners of Chinese medicine and Qi Gong, healers and meditation practitioners, and those on a self-improvement and spiritual path of any tradition.
