Aroma Acupoint Therapy ™ Level 2

Course description:

Remember the significant and even transformative shifts that you experienced with the first level of Aroma Acupoint Therapy? And the good treatment results you may be continuing to see in your practice? This is actually just a small part of the potentials that this unique form of treatment holds. If you are serious about increasing your understanding of how essential oils modulate Qi and Shen, and are ready to discover new treatment potentials, then this advanced level of AAT therapy is right for you.
Level 2 is a continuation and deepening of the principles and practice of Aroma Acupoint Therapy presented in Level 1. It will again consist of both lecture and hands-on practice of the new concepts and actual treatment sequences presented. This seminar is designed to deepen your understanding of how AAT works and the importance of inner development for enhanced practice. Specifically, it aims to increase your treatment repertoire using this unique modality; to increase your understanding of the essential oils used in practice; and to enhance your ability to differentiate patients‘ physical and emotional symptoms according to the Six Diagnostic Conditions.

This advanced workshop will …

• Deepen your knowledge of how the various fragrance energies of oils affect the Shen
• Explore the mental and emotional symptoms created by the pathological conditions of tension, weakness, heat, cold, dryness and damp.
• Promote a more intimate relationship with the essential oils in treatment to unlock their true potential
• Discuss the presentation and treatment with essential oils of complex conditions, such as chronic Tense-Weak, Heat-Tense-Damp, Weak-Cold-Dry, etc. in terms of both Qi and Shen dysfunctions.
• Explore the inner or spirit nature of select essential oils to facilitate integral healing
• Discuss modifying or combining treatment sequences in order to tailor the treatment to your patient’s specific needs
• Look at practical concepts and techniques of personal inner development for enhanced and long-lasting treatment results, such as developing attention and loving presence
• Dismantle complex, challenging case histories through group discussions/li>

Knowledge in chinese medicine, completion of Level 1 of Aroma Acupoint Therapy

Certificate:

All participants will receive a certificate of the “Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Klassische Akupunktur und TCM e.V.”

The lecturer:

Peter Holmes L.Ac., M.H.
Peter Holmes is a medical herbalist, essential oil therapist and practitioner of Chinese medicine with over 30 years‘ experience of using botanical remedies and essential oils in clinical practice. He has focused on both the physiological and psychological aspects of using essential oils, and in particular has pioneered the use of essential oils with acupuncture and bodywork. His original training included studies with medical herbalist and pharmacist Henri Verdier in Paris, France; medical herbalist Christopher Hedley in London, England; and Chinese medicine practitioners and experts such as Naburo Muramoto, John and Angela Hicks, Ted Kaptchuk, Elisabeth Rochat and many others.
Peter brings to his courses and seminars many years of study, clinical practice, teaching experience and field research. He is author of several acclaimed textbooks on herbal and essential oil medicine: The Energetics of Western Herbs (2 vols.), Jade Remedies (2 vols.), The TCM Materia Medica Clinical Reference and Study Guide, Clinical Aromatherapy and Aromatica (2 vols.). Peter lives near San Francisco and divides his time between teaching, writing and practicing.
