This class will build upon the foundations of Applied Channel Theory with a clinical focus. Attending students will gain a deeper understanding of when and how to use some of the most-commonly used point pairs from the clinical experience of Professor Wang Juyi. For each presented point-pair, effects on channel physiology and common indicative palpated findings will be discussed in combination with intensive work locating and needling. Within the location portion of the course, ample class time will be set aside for practice palpating acupuncture channel pathways as a means of creating a clear diagnosis. Upon completion, students will have a collection of effective point pairs for each of the six channels and enhanced confidence selecting, locating and needling.

Dr. Jason D. Robertson (MS, DAHM) is the co-author of Applied Channel Theory in Chinese Medicine (Eastland Press, 2008) with his teacher Professor Wang Ju-yi (王居易).
