Treating neck pain with acupuncture<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nA 27-year-old acupuncturist attended a Balance Method seminar called \u201cModule 1 Dr Tan\u2019s Core Essentials.\u201d Her chief complaint was neck pain and tightness that spread across the upper trapezius muscle towards the left shoulder. This region of the body is traversed by the Foot Shao Yang Gallbladder Meridian and Hand Shao Yang San Jiao Meridian. The volunteer had been suffering from this complaint for approximately one year, designating it as a chronic condition.<\/p>\n
CURRENT SYMPTOMS<\/h2>\n
The current symptoms described by the volunteer were left-sided neck and shoulder pain and tightness along Foot Shao Yang Gallbladder Meridian and Hand Shao Yang San Jiao Meridian.<\/p>\n

\nHand Shao Yang San Jiao 5 also known as Wa\u0300i Gua\u0304n \u5916\u95dcOuter Pass is located 2 cun proximal to the dorsal wrist crease, on the line connecting SJ4 and the tip of the olecranon, between the radius and ulna. \nIn ancient China, defensive walls were built to fortify a city against foreign invaders. The entry point of each city was called gua\u0304n \u95dc the Grand Checkpoint Gate into a City. Guards were stationed at each gua\u0304n \u95dc to defend against any potential threat.
