Various types of acupuncture

Books about special needle techniques, such as single-needle, double-point, chronoacupuncture (real-time acupuncture) or special acupuncture techniques or acupuncture types such as Ling shu acupuncture, which are based on classical texts, such as the Ling shu.
Which different forms of acupuncture there are in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) can be found here:

  • Body acupuncture is the most commonly used form of acupuncture. Here, points are selected via the meridians in order to eliminate blockages and disturbances.
The points are visited according to their fixed localization and checked for pressure pain. If the points are painful, this indicates an energetic weakness or disorder. This point is then punctured with fine acupuncture needles. The needles remain for about 20-30 minutes before being sedated or toned again according to the clinical picture. They are then pulled out and disposed of.
  • Ear acupuncture (OAP) is very easy to use and can be done with acupuncture needles, permanent needles or permanent seeds. The ear already indicates the diseases of the body or the organs, so that the corresponding points are easy to find. The OAP can be used very successfully especially for addictions and painful diseases of the musculoskeletal system. The ear reflects the human body as an inverted embryo in the ear.
  • The Yamamoto skull acupuncture (YNSA) was developed by the Japanese physician Dr. Toshikatsu Yamamoto for the treatment of neurological diseases. Certain areas on the head called somatopes are successfully used to treat strokes, brain injuries and migraines.
  • The palpation of the neck and abdominal zone also gives indications of energetic blockages.
  • Hand acupuncture, also called Su Jok acupuncture, has existed for about 25 years. The method is based on the assumption that all structures of the organism have a projection on hands and feet, including the acupuncture meridians of the Indian chakra system. This form of treatment is particularly effective in acute cases.
  • Laser acupuncture is treated with a light needle on the body and the ear. It is absolutely painless and is therefore often used in children and patients with needle phobia. More information about acupuncture forms and atlases can be found here at naturmed!
