Books on Tibetan medicine
Tibetan medicine (Sowa Rigpa) is called the knowledge of healing. Her holistic approach is strongly linked to Tibetan Buddhism. It is, like Asian medicine, based on a variety of basic concepts, such as the three-syllable doctrine, the theory of constitution or the energetic mind-body concept. The interesting thing about it is its concepts about causes of disease, disease processes and the resulting treatments. Many therapists of Chinese medicine appreciate the approaches of Tibetan style very much. Thereafter, we would choose the book Fundamentals of Tibetan medicine, the translation of the English Men-Tsee-Khang publication by Florian Ploberger. Dr. Ploberger holds a weekly lecture at an Austrian University on the basics of it.
